Both are crazy about music.
Both are avid New Yorkers. You have to be one to know one.
Both are avidly into social media. Although Fred is best followed at his blog and Soraya is best followed on Twitter. Fred's blog is subscribed to by about 100,000 people. Half a million follow Soraya on Twitter.
And looks like Chris Dixon has developed a rapid interest in both about the same time.
