There is a scenario where people are organized around nations. Just like families have their homes, nations have their geographies. And people do travel, but those are the few tourists. All geographies are similar economies of abundance. That is not possible today. But in the economic paradigm of abundance, those nations become an option.

The whole woke backlash has shown to me, this cultural identity thing really, really seems to matter to white guys in all sorts of places. Like somebody is thinking Mars and is really offended by woke. Just put up with racist jokes, will you?

There is the whole human dimension to Mars. It is much easier to colonize the ocean depths. Mars is harsh. But Elon thinks physics. He is completely ignoring the biology. Biology is like this huge blind spot. He has it. Culture are finer things to biology.

Work is about work. I get it. If you are there to build rockets, you talk about building rockets. But if you are bonding over racist and sexist jokes, you are not talking about building rockets. You are talking racism and sexism that gives you an unfair advantage. That translates to extreme poverty on global scales. If Elon is secretly giving, his net worth does not seem to be dipping. And, in the meantime, he cut the AID.

Elon is physics smart. That is obvious. But he is not biology smart. He is not psychology smart. You can't live in a tiny cubicle for nine months on your way to Mars. That is hard. Try it on earth. He is not cultural diversity smart. He is average.

Getting along is spiritual. Family is getting along. Friends are getting along. Colleagues are getting along. A work environment infested with racist and sexist jokes is the opposite of getting along. That is hostile. That is animal behavior.

US political culture has changed for the worse in the recent decades. Extreme right has become mainstream. People are fast losing the art of simply having conversations. You get along. You talk in person. But you agree to disagree. There is not too much of that going on. People talk past each other more often than not. That lack of dialogue puts common sense solutions out of reach.

Building community is a thing. It is primarily spiritual. You need that spiritual foundation.
