AI Safety, Clean Energy, and the Road to Peace

The 21st century is being shaped by two parallel revolutions: China’s leadership in clean energy and America’s leadership in artificial intelligence. Each represents a different front in the global struggle to secure a livable future. Yet, paradoxically, the future will not be secure without cooperation between these two superpowers.

AI Safety, in particular, cannot be achieved without a framework that brings Washington and Beijing to the same table. Algorithms do not respect borders, and risks in one country inevitably spill across the globe. But there is a precondition: genuine peace. That means resolving flashpoints that currently make cooperation impossible. Chief among them is Taiwan.

Peace for Taiwan: The Missing Piece

The Taiwan question has long been a fault line between China and the United States. But it is not an unsolvable problem.
