Not one button, not one missile, not one apocalyptic moment, but a spectrum of escalating retaliation capabilities where every major power is compelled to respond tit-for-tat at every step. It does not just make war catastrophic; it makes war meaningless. The logic becomes: if you can strike me, I can strike you back instantly, precisely, and invisibly.

And yet, even that is not the real nightmare.

But the same surveillance logic deployed today—under the banner of immigration enforcement—represents something deeply dangerous. If that level of monitoring were applied to speeding tickets, America would revolt. It would be viewed as tyranny.

That is the point: technology can be brilliant and still be inhuman.

The greatest threat is not that AI will kill us quickly. The greatest threat is that AI will help systems of power slowly strip away our humanity while claiming it is for “efficiency” and “security.”

AI Will Bring Abundance—But Only If Humanity Is Central

Ending extreme poverty is not only moral. It is strategic AI safety.

Because a world of desperation is a world vulnerable to manipulation.

A world of inequality is a world that breeds radicalization.

A world where billions feel excluded is a world where chaos becomes inevitable.

If AI is going to reshape civilization, then the first priority must be ensuring that civilization remains stable and humane.

AI Safety Is Not Just Code. It Is Civilization Design.

AI safety is often framed as a technical problem: alignment, guardrails, red-teaming, model interpretability, security testing.

Those matter.
