The Facebook Skype Integration Is Huge

Image representing Facebook as depicted in Cru...Image via CrunchBaseMy number one gripe with Skype is it does not have all the people on it that I wish were on it. This Facebook Skype integration takes care of that problem. Now you don't need a phone number of that person who is in your Facebook network. This is huge.

This is bigger than Google Plus, a service I am not in yet. A friend sent an invite today but Google says they are so full of it. They did not let me in.

No doubt this move is a Facebook, Microsoft counter to Google Plus, especially to the Hangout feature that seems to be showing a lot of promise.

Google can be anal about releases. The slow release thing worked for Gmail. But it is not working for Google Plus. I doubt they fear there will be so much demand their servers might melt. So why the delay? A slow release in this day and age is plain bad marketing.
TechCrunch: Facebook Launches Skype-Powered Video Calling: a feature that’s been rumored for quite a while, and it’s one that Facebook is putting a lot of weight behind
"Now, whenever you browse to a friend’s profile, you’ll see a new button nestled between the ‘Message’ and ‘Poke’ buttons that says ‘Call’."

I don't see it. I feel targeted.
